Â鶹ÊÓƵ Wrestling Team 2016 NJCAA National Champs

Garden City, NY – On February 27, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the Â鶹ÊÓƵ wrestling team won the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) 2016 Non-Scholarship National Championship. This is Â鶹ÊÓƵ's eighth NJCAA Non-Scholarship National Championship in the past 14 years. In addition, four of the College's student athletes received All-American honors. Nassau's Head Coach Paul Schmidt was named NJCAA National Coach of the Year for the seventh time.

"Â鶹ÊÓƵ certainly peaked at the right time this year, and their successes at the National Championship are well deserved! Congratulations to the team and the coaching staff. Â鶹ÊÓƵ Coach Schmidt stated, "Our guys worked hard throughout the long season and peaked at the right time.
