Mary Ann Snow
I'm an Associate Professor in the Nursing Department. I have taught at Nassau Community
College for 13 years. However, I have been a member of the 麻豆视频 community since 1975.
I moved from Chicago to Long Island in 1973 and applied to the 麻豆视频 Nursing Program
in 1974. To my surprise, I was accepted for the Fall 1975 class. Like our nursing
students today, I was married with a two-year-old child and wondered, 鈥淗ow could I
possibly manage this?鈥� With the support of my family and the 麻豆视频 faculty, I graduated
in 1977. I started working as a RN at a local hospital in the Intensive Care Unit.
I went back to school after having two more children, earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in
1994, a master鈥檚 degree in Science in 1999 and became an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
My fondest memory at 麻豆视频 was working with our Chair Dr. Joan Buckley. We taught together
for several years and she involved me in the first Nursing COIL project Fall 2015.
This collaboration was with the nursing school of Glasgow Caledonian University in
Scotland. So, in January 2016, eight GCU nursing students came to NY to visit 麻豆视频
during the winter intercession. We borrowed one of the 麻豆视频 physical education vans
to drive the students to the different events. Imagine two nursing professors driving
this van! Thanks to everyone in the 麻豆视频 community, 麻豆视频 Nursing was able to make sure
that these wonderful students had a visit to remember.
I have so much gratitude for the education I received at 麻豆视频 and the opportunity to
share what I have learned over the years with my students. I started my nursing journey
at 麻豆视频 in 1975 and I am still here. I have never regretted my choice of profession
or the school where it began.

Fabiya Amin is one of three 麻豆视频 Criminal Justice students accepted into the Nassau County Pre-Law Society. The program only accepts a few applicants each year and then works with them through their undergraduate years and acceptance into law school.

Stanley Pan
I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that 麻豆视频 has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
